MIND MAP

"INTERACTIVE" ARTWORKS by Dan Collins
http://www.asu.edu/cfa/art/people/faculty/collins/Interaction/index.html
Creating an experience for a participant in an interactive artwork must take into account that interactions are, by definition, not "one-way" propositions. Interaction depends on feedback loops that include not just the messages that preceded them, but also the manner in which previous messages were reactive. When a fully interactive level is reached, communication roles are interchangeable, and information flows across and through intersecting fields of experience that are mutually reciprocal. The level of success at attaining mutual reciprocity could offer a standard by which to critique interactive artwork.
IMPLICATIONS FOR ART AND EDUCATION
Interactive artworks of the future will enable interactions that are at once personal and universal. These interactions will be characterized by a subtle reciprocity between the body and the natural environment, and an expanded potential for self-knowledg and learning.

Infra Shoes

Infra Shoes is what’s new this fall. Many of the name brand tennis shoe out there today only offer comfort or bright lights once you step on the heel, Infra Shoes is not only a comfortable tennis shoe that comes in most sizes but it also offers protection and guidance for everyone. The main target is both men and women ages 21 to 40 that belong to the lower middle class segment.

This group of people love traveling and vacationing in new places. They like walking both for exercise or a pleasant stroll around the neighborhood. This group of people visit museums, and parks and monuments by foot because they enjoy that first hand experience that links them to the places they go to. What better way to do this than with the new Infra Shoes? With it’s high-tech system that alerts the user of the main activities going on around them.

HOW IT WORKS
Infrashoe has a new and unique technology that allows it to pick up signals from numerous activities occurring around the user. The Infrashoe has an infrared device that receives a signal whenever it perceives atmospheric motions from an infrared transmitter located as far as 100 mts. These will be located on light posts all around the city. A distinct indicating light will start flashing, depending on the signal and the place that its coming from , alerting the user of the locations and/or actions that surround them.
